NL MINDFUL is more than a Mindfulness course. It is a carefully designed Mindfulness program in Hamburg, rooted in scientific research and years of counseling experience.

The 8-12 weeks Mindfulness program provides a safe framework to explore stress reduction, emotional regulation, and resilience, combining practice & reflection. NL MINDFUL is based on MBCT and the Mindfulness tradition of Diana Winston, Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn and Thich Nhat Hanh. We follow the trauma-sensitive Mindfulness principles of David Treleaven.

At NL MINDFUL you work directly with Melanie Kettner, founder and program director. Her background unites academic study, Counseling experience, and over 20 years of daily mindfulness practice.

  • Certified Naturopath for Psychotherapy (HPG), Hamburg Health Authority
  • Training in Client-Centered Counseling (Carl Rogers, GwG)
  • Classes at the UCLA Mindfulness Research Center (Diana Winston)
  • MBCT program Be Mindful (UK)
  • Classes with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Sam Harris (Stanford)
  • Over 20 years of daily Mindfulness practice
  • Founder & publisher of NL MAGAZINE – an international print magazine on Mindfulness & Nordic Culture
